Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

ARGH, The squeal!!

I didn't know Performance Friction doesn't make pads for the 2007 GP. I have a 98 and a 01 GP that i put them on. Too bad as these are great pads. I've heard the Wagner Thermoquiet's are quet pads as well. They were my second choice. They have the backing shims as well to keep them quiet. They are a semi-metallic shoes. OEM shoe's might work but they are ceramic and ceramic tend to be hard on rotors. In your situation I would put my money on the Wagner's.....
Also, for our everyday driving there;s really no need to have the slotted or drilled rotor's. I use the Wagner rotor's from O'reilly's. A good quality rotor for stock application. Your rotor's might be part of the problem as well. I don't think the brake's changed much from the 97-03 GP'S to the 04-08 GP's. If I was in your shoe's and I wanted to wipe the slate clean so to speak I would go with the Wagner rotor's coupled with the "Thermoquiet's...

You did read that this is a GXP correct? drilled rotors are standard equipment and specific to the GXP.

yes, i see that now. if that's what came with the car stock then they shouldn't be a problem. a lot of guy's put slotted and drilled rotors on car's that never came stock with them. I still think the Wagner Thermoquiet's are your best bet on these as they have the backing shim to keep them quiet....

New to the forum and maybe you already solved this, but I had the same exact problem on my 06-GXP. I changed out all the way around for ceramics, NAPA Adaptive Ones (which I think are made by Wagner) in front and Akebono in the rear. So far so good. What I was told (by like every parts store I went to) was that the OEM pads called for on the rear of a GXP are semi-metallics, and the front OEM's are ceramics. If I had it to do again I'd probably do the Akebono on all 4 corners.

I have never tried this method but a person I know that has a GXP said he had break squealing and tried everything with no success until one day someone told him with GXP rotors you have to clean the holes out from time to time. He did so with a small bit and cordless drill. Squealing stopped completely. He has had to do this twice since he has owned the car....Just saying....you may give it a try.
