• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Sorry I haven't been around....been kinda busy :)

Hey everyone! It's spring time now and everyone is starting to get back into that spirit of modding and playing with their cars, of course some of us never let the winter stop us from doing that, but for some, like me, take a break and enjoy the wintery and early spring season for other things.

For me...........it was traveling to Singapore and the Philippines for two weeks to see my Fiance'e (or however you spell it) I just wanted to share a few of the pictures of my wonderful time away in several foreign countries. I visited Singapore for about a week and then traveled to Manila, Manakati, and Bohol in the Philippines with my fiance'e. She was a coworker at my current company. Who knew love could reach over 10,000 miles away!

Thanks in advance for letting me share this with you :)

Miriam and I on the beach of the Bohol Beach Club in the Philippines...(don't trash the shirt to badly :p )

Miriam and I at Fort Santiago in Manila. It is the old standing fort in the Philippines. The uniform the guard is wearing was authentic for the time period.

One of the many views of Downtown Singapore.

A hazey look at downtown Manila in the Philippines, they have very poor smog emissions standards, I think none at all actually, and it is evident in this shot.

I had to laugh at this picture!

Miriam and I's first meal together. It was actually really good. Its simply noodles with pork, prawns (aka Shrimp), mushrooms, squid on a stick and other goodies. And their Lemon Tea simply ROCKED!

And what trip would not be complete without this.............I was shocked they had a Hooters here in Singapore. I had to about beg Miriam to take the photo lol :p

And last but NEVER least..........Da Ring! :D

Congrats!

Love has no boundaries. I can relate, right now I have that special feeling that I would do anything to bone the foreign girl from the windows 7 commercial who drinks a lot of coffee!

Yeah I had no idea it was global either till I saw it for myself. I had to practically bribe her to let me do it. I told her the guys back home would not believe me if I didnt have photographic proof :p So she graciously agreed, God Love her for that :)

Well that dish was quite simple. I just ate the mushrooms firsts, than the prawns and the squid on a stick and then mixed the pork into the noodles and ate that with the chopsticks. It was quite simple.

It is rather funny, in Singapore, they love their chili spices, everything was spiced to the maxed so I had to make sure I always told cook or waitress to add just a little spice. And in the Philippines, they loved their salt on everything along with rice for each and every meal of the day. The breakfast in the Phils is nothing like ours in the states, its like eating lunch in the morning.

Oh and thanks for being gentle about the shirt! It was soooooooooo hot there, it was nice and light weight, only made of silk so it worked out well :) And yes nothing like a big fat guy in a bright blue hawian* shirt :D

Thanks Spart! And yes Singapore is actually quite modern as compared to a lot of the cities in the US. Their metro link system is one of the worlds best, and their transit (bus) system also ranks right up there. Think of Singapore being a giant New York City. The best way to get around was via the Metro or Taxi's. People do own cars there, but they are sooooooo expensive own and operate there. There are really not that many out there.

Their highway system is quite interesting too, of course they drive on the WRONG side of the highway and roads as compared to us in the US. But it was interesting. I did see some Masarattis, a couple Nissan GT-Rs, and a bunch of high end BMWs, and Mercedes Benz's too.

Singapore hooters looks amazing.

Your trip looks relaxing as hell, congrats on everything!

Yeah Clark Quay is the place where all "caucasions" hang out according local Singaporeans. When we were there, we saw lots of American businessmen and tourists and English and other Nationals as well enjoying the atmosphere there.

Yeah it was quite relaxing, we did travel quite a bit between Singapore and the Philippines, in all I think I travelled over 25-29k miles between all the countries and the US. Not bad in only 16 days :)

That is some of the CUTEST sh*t I've ever seen!

Congratulations, enjoy each other!!

Thanks CSteen! She is a cutie no doubt!! She is a programmer there in Singapore. She worked for us at Reuters, that is how I knew previously. We worked together for like 2 years before Reuters skuttled their development group there. After that is when our relationship really blossomed :)

Its been 11 long months now and I will be seeing my immigration attny tomorrow to set the paperwork in motion to have her brought to the US :) And then after that we have 90 days to get married and then she becomes a PR (permanent resident) here. I hoping by Oct or Nov she will be here in the States with me. :th_thumbsup-wink:
