Let me see your GEN V swaps

Hey Folks, looking for some under hood pics of 97-03 GPs that have been swapped to the GEN V. I'm especially interesting in seeing pics of cars running an SLP box with a N*. However, any swap pics will do.

Thanks in advance. :)

Always love to post pics of my car, it's even better when someone asks.:)

this is probably gonna come across as dumb, but I am an idiot when it comes to all that, so I'll risk riducule anyway... what is a gen V?

Its not a dumb question, everybody starts somewhere and thats what this forum is for. 1997-2003 Grand Prixs came with a "Gen III" supercharger and the 04 and newer Grand Prixs came with the better, more efficient "Gen V" supercharger.

Thanks for the pics...keep them coming folks. :th_thumb-up:

Not to hijack the thread, but Farns, i see some stuff hanging off your firewall. Can you divulge what all that is.

And I hate it when you post pics of your engine bay. Makes me jealous. I want my engine bay to look like that.

few things have been changed, added a coolant resivoir(instead of t fill), coolant overflow. will try to get some pics after i get it all cleaned back up again. just got it all together and running good finally

Wow, I'm surprised I thought there would have been more GEN V swaps then there is on here. I'm going to go with a GEN V soon and was really wanting to see what you all did with the PCV system and was wondering if I used a N* could I still use my SLP air box. It looks like its going to be tight!! Thanks for the pics guys, these help me out quite a bit.

Thanks again!!

I have the Gen V swap, pics at my cardomain.

Not many people went Gen V because a fully ported gen III can be had for a fraction of the cost, and get almost the same gains.

A fully ported GenIII might catch up but will never match what a GenV can do. Totally different case makes most the diferance.

For what many spend in porting and polish work on a genIII, one could buy a GenV, modify the LIM a little, bolt on and go with a far better advantage.

But were not going to turn this into a debate...this topic on which is better has been ran into the ground more times than I can remember.

Its a worth while Mod to do, and to invest in both hands down.
