My name's Eric, from Ohio. Just bought my first GTP dirt cheap. Bought it for $3500 on ebay from a 1 owner in Maryland. Got it home found out the LIM is starting to leak slightly and the guy sent me back $400. Think I got a steal on this thing. Runs perfect, pretty quick, got plans to put about $2 grand in it then leave it alone.

Below are a few good pictures of my other car. It's a 1999 Honda prelude type sh, 60k flawless! Black one is mine, white lude with gold wheels is supercharged, it's a friends.

Looks like you got a pretty good deal! :th_thumbsup-wink: I would fix the LIM and while you are at it, replace the upper intake as well. It is nice you got the $400 back, not many people selling a used car would do this in today's economy! Welcome to the site, there are alot of good members here with lots of information and experience.

Yes I'm having the LIM fixed and putting a zzp ported LIM and metal gaskets in. What upper intake are you talking about? This is a GTP there's no upper intake, a supercharger sits there. Also putting all new engine mounts and tranny mount in they're pretty worn.

Nice deal, get some wheels and tint :)

I think I'd put the money into suspension upgrades, brake upgrades, and some performance parts before I'd spend it on rims and tint. If I want to be flashy I'll pull the prelude out of the garage. I want a stealth sleeper. The oem rims are fine for me lol!

welcome to the forums, i agree make the GP a sleeper. good deal on it too
Thanks, I was just reading up on the projectors from dashz. I wanna get the headlights replaced and get some good tails with no moisture in them. Nobody expects anything when they pull up next to the GTP, however if I'm in my type sh prelude I've always got people messing with me. I want to keep the GTP looking stock as much as possible. I've spent thousands on cars and mods and I'm really looking for a little more hp and not getting all crazy with this GTP.

I've got a buddy that owns a small airport where I live. I'm going to put the prelude up against the GTP in a few test runs. I'm sure the GTP will beat it 0-80. 80mph and above I'm not so sure the GTP will hang with the type sh. Of course if I dumped 1500-2000 bucks into the GTP the prelude would stand no chance. Prelude has minor bolt ons which anyone that owns a honda means about 5-10hp lol. Should be a fun test!

i wanna say the guy that sold u the car was trying to sell that car on this site awhile back. looks good though.

The oem wheels are super light aswell most aftermarket wheels add weight
Specially the mustang bullits some run on these

Altho they do look good

looks like a decent deal

Nah man it was a 50+ year old guy that lived in Maryland. I drove 7 hrs to go get it. I doubt an older guy was on this site trying to sell it. Maybe but I doubt it, def never had anything done to it. Very stock lol

Ya rims are a big waste of money, especially in this economy. It's a good deal, lowest mileage GTP I could find for a great price $3100. It also replace a 1992 acura integra that was rusted to the ground with over 200,000 miles on it. Worth the swap

Ya there was an older guy selling 2 red Coupes. They were a 00 and an 02 though. So it wasnt him.

Again, very nice car!

Thank you very much! I don't have huge plans for the car. Here's what I'd like to do, get the LIM fixed first,. Engine mounts and tranny mount next. Then 3in catless downpipe, wizair cold air intake, 160 thermo, plugs, 3.4 pulley and a tuned intense pcm with the appropriate codes deleted for rear O2 and EGR. Nothing crazy just might as well take the 40-50hp you can get out of these cars for less than a grand.

Not to be an ass but the mods you suggest are way overpriced. Im a vendor here for some parts and if you want good prices if you can do the install part hit me up we can talk. Nice car btw.

you dont need a expensive intake set-up Unless your going for looks of it
I have an intense pcm Its a decent tune
you wont get 40 hp from it though
and i didnt see any sort of mani upgrade(header, pems)
