As far as getting our health care system equal to everyone else's, it's already better. And if you don't think it's available to the poor you forgot medicade and medicare. I bet there's more people dying in Canada WAITING for care then all the people that "may be" dying of lack of access to health care here.

No, I'm sorry. Your health care is not "better". If you have the money it's fantastic but you can say the same thing about every first world country. Look up some statistics.

-America is 33rd in the world for infant mortality rate. Canada? 23rd.
-America is ranked 67th most in # of AIDS/HIV patients per capita. Canada? 87th.
-America is 38th in life expectancy at 78.2 years. Canada? 11th at 80.7.
-America is 96th worst in death rate at 8.2/1000. Canada? 113 at 7.4/1000.
-America is 139th in birth rate. Canada? 169.
-Literacy? America is sitting at 15. Canada? 2.
-Math? Oh look at America down there at 24. Canada? 5.
-Science? America at 21. Canada? 2.

Don't start commentating on "wait lines" in Canada. I've never had to wait for a procedure in my life. Also if the government runs Medicare and Medicaid why aren't they able to run the entirety of the system? Or do you enjoy being run by lobbyists.

Oh and last I checked it was Israel(by way of USA) that's setting Irans nuclear arms research back. They're still only a couple years away from it though.

Well according to you I need to grow up because guns and bloodshed are little kid things. AND saying sh!t like that about our military pisses me off more than anything.
 


mcvey, I only made the military comment because you made one about us supporting our military. This thread has gotten completely off track and and sucken to insulting each other's country. I'll not going to do that I have nothing against Canada. I visited there and I loved it. Obviously you are a bigger Ahole than I am and that's going some. This thread started out that many of us couldn't afford the increases in our healthcare and didn't want to lose the healthcare we have. I not insulting Canada and offending everyone on here.

You're not going to lose your health care, jesus christ. You realize that health care costs have been rising at an alarming rate consistently even without the government bill, right? America is basically the only first world country where people go bankrupt due to medical costs. Think about that.

mcveys problem is he no respect for any one else's opinion. He thinks he knows it all and everyone else is an idiot. When he takes that attitude it is no longer a discussion it becomes an argument.
