Should I make my rims silver again?

i say either keep them because they look so good, OR buy new ones. you can only make the stockers look so good before you gotta go aftermarket!

haha, I saw a black stang with red powder coated cobras and it looked like titties. I figured it might look good on the ol' GP.

that was a joke. i was hoping someone around here had enough nuts to do something different besides the usual crap i see on here all the time.

but if people started doing all different mis-matched colors and rims, all our GP's would start lookin like hondas!

not mismatched, but some color would be nice. im just sick of black, silver, chrome, gunmetal, etc.

Sounds like you are just bored and need something to do.

How'd you know? haha. Every car I've owned has had black rims and I'm just tired of it. The way I did my rims looks alright, but it just blah.

I painted the rims on my old monte like the ones on my GP. The fireturd came with those ugly rims, and the rims on the yukon came off a state trooper tahoe. Trust me when I say I'm tired of black rims.

If I get these black rims some guy is wanting to trade me for my other rims, I may paint them white. Think about it, do it, you can always paint them silver later if you don't like white.

You just have to sand them down to where the aluminum is smooth, progressively smoother with sand paper, then wet sand, then polish with rubbing compound. I would spray some clear over it after that so it protects them.

^^ it would take forever to polish um,, if you really wana change umm paint them and clear them the color you choose:th_thumbsup-wink:
