• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

I did it. Get ready to laugh at me

I ran out of gas earlier today. I always make fun of people who do it. In all fairness my guage was still reading 1/4 tank. I must have messed it up when doing my dual fuel pump mod. I can say one thing thought my dual pumps will suck the tank dry.

So i my tbss died and i rolled into a gas station. Spend 10mins looking it over and could not figure out what was wrong so i called for a tow. Towed it to my shop and was it was rolling off the flat bed i decided to knock the tank.... Not like my **** was sitting 10ft from a pump before i towed it... I piss my self off.

Yea i had the wife and kids out with me. She was telling me i was going to break it because i was hot rodding and playing with a corvette.

see thats just the kinda thing you never admit to doing lol

Ive done it my dually died on me at the exact moment my smog pump seized had it towed home and found the empty tank and broken smog pump and broken tank switch grrr

oman ive done this b4 but my guage said i had a half a tank had it towed to my shop put the fuel gauge on it (96impala) had o psi dropped the tank bone dry the worse part was i was wit a girl i just met wtf lol

i ran my blazer out of gas at least 3 times. one in a home depot parking lot, one down the street from my house and one on the highway. Blame GM and their failure to make working gas gauges

Been there, done that!!

A few years ago, I ran one of our work trucks out of gas on a Friday afternoon 1/4 mile from our shop while pulling a loaded trailer. It was a 97 Chevy dually with a 454 gas, 5 speed, and 4.56 rear end.

The gauge in that truck worked real good. It showed way below E! I had gas at the shop and a convience store another 3/4 mile down the road.

I guess I cut it too close that day!! :th_laugh-pointup:

I ran my harley out of gas once. It has no gas guage or low fuel light. My dad decided to ride it around on reserve for a day and not put gas in it. Luckly it died a block for a gas station. Still not fun pushing it tho.

I just need to pull the tank again. When you only get 140-100 miles to a tank you need all the range you can get..

the worse part was i was wit a girl i just met wtf lol

I had that happen to me, altho i had taken my spare out of the trunk of my civic when i was getting ready to sell it. Just happen to run over a snap-on screw driver laying in the road on the way to the movies.... made for a good excuse to makeout while we were waiting on AAA to bring me a tire lol.

I did that once in the Granny snatch, 98 PA Ultra. Every time the battery dies, the gas gauge flips over, and is useless so you have to keep track of the miles per tank, well a friend of myne borrowed it, and reset the odometer about 75 miles into the gas tank...i was not happy.
