Is there any way that i can up-grade the DRIVERS INFORMATION CENTER DIC from the one that shows the pic of a car and shows when doors are open? to the one that come with the screen in the gtp?? let me know thanks :confused::confused::confused::th_scratchhead: :th_lightbulb:
 


I did the swap. It takes a good 3 hours of splicing 20 or so wires, but in the end its well worth it.

Make sure you get the digital DIC with the TRAC button, not the TCS button.
 
Did the GT models ever have the digital DIC? I assume the TCS button is on the GTP models. I thought only the analog DIC had the Trac button but I must be wrong.
 
Yes, it was an option on the GT, however unlike stated above you CAN use a GTP DIC, you just have to open it up and cut one of the soldering points.
 


Thanks, yes I finally saw a digital one with the trac button on ebay and the club gp how to on soldering a wire to fix the tcs button if I bought a gtp dic.

Can I assume my 98 GT would have all of the wiring for the mpg and other data to work or would I have to add a few wires?
 


Can i used a DIC from a 97 GT?? i found 3 in a local yunkyard thats the only one's i can find let me know thanks
 
You'll want to look for a 98-03 GT with a DIC where the button says TRAC not TCS. The 97 has a tire pressure monitor light and is incompatible. I was lucky to find one cheap on ebay and the connector was already wrapped in the dash so no splicing.
 
98-02 DIC are all interchangeable.

If you have a <99 GP, the harness for the digitial DIC is already there and this is a plug and play mod.
