Problem With Back Speakers

I own a 2000 Grand Prix and my two back speakers dont work and its really starting to bother me. The thing is when it was really hot on a summers day they would work. I messed with the wires but it didnt really help. Has anyone else experienced this with their car or know what i should do?? Thanks

Yeah I'd replace them when it is really hot the impedance or resistance drops like ex. 4ohm to maybe 3.75 ohms or lower allowing them to work a little the v.c.'s are probably shot. I bet on a hot day (when they do work) they probably don't work even half of what they should factory spk's suck anyway drop in a nice set of infinities and an amp if ya got the loot LOL!

it could b a wireing issue but the fact that they work on a hot just says its the speakers...n i agree w matt5112's link

Yes the speakers go bad. There is no wiring issue. Mine worked on days above 75 degrees only. Swapped in some Infinity's and couldn't be happier. You will be surprised on how freaking cheap the stock speakers are.
