Coolant

I have a 98 GTP. The coolant light stays on and the level of the coolant when cold is a couple inches from the top of the radiator. If i put more in it ends back up at this level after a few days. It never goes below this level. There is not much in the overflow tank. I replaced the thermostat about a month ago because it was starting to stick. The temp stays at about 180-185 degrees. I have good heat from the heater. I'm just wondering if this is a bad sensor or if there is a leak in the top part of the radiator or top hose. When I fill beyond the few inches from the top, it seems to blow it out through the cap. But once it gets down to that level it stops. Does this sound like a clogged line between the cap and overflow tank? I'm a good part's changer but not much of a troubleshooter. I'm trying to learn. Any tips or knowledge greatly appreciated.

You can try removing the sensor, cleaning it, and the hole. Some have found that to work. Others need to replace the entire sensor.
