06 GP GXP Rims?

Hey I have an 06 GP that I would like to change the Rims out. I really like the GXP rims but I hate that they are different sizes. Has anyone ever tried seeing why the 8" rims don't work on the back of the car? Also would it mess up some of the suspension geometry to throw 8's on the back? Also if anyone has any suggestions on places to go to get a good deal on these rims that would be great!

Thanks,

Erik....

why wouldnt they work on the rear or the car? that doesnt make sense. the offset and size is just fine.

hmm well if the spring perch is what I think it is, how hard or bad would it be to bend it up a little so it does not rub? I've heard of people doing this before on cars with way to large of rims, u know 22's on a grand am...

Just wanna give you a heads up about the GXP wheels. They collect all types of dust and are hard to clean and make them look good. Granted I have a GXP Prix so I will give off more dust than a GT but make sure you know what your getting into. If you wanna buy me some Bonne GXP wheels I will give you my Prix GXP wheels. lol

haha buy you a pair to trade. I also like the Bonne GXP rims, those I might want to keep! LOL but I wasn't sure if they would work or not depending on the bolt pattern and offset?

Ill bet you a......oh wait I dont have anything.:th_doh:
does anyone know if you can fit aftermarket same size rims on a GXP without any trouble? I want some 19's

Good God is any one gonna make a Dang sticky for wheels sizes and offsets yet! As well as the fact that mustang wheels will fit! ill say it again mustang wheels will fit. And for the 19's yes they will fit. What really matters is Offset thats what will make or break a wheel setup minus the obvious fact the bolt pattern must fit. :th_scratchhead:

Ok, it seems there is a lot of debate about this matter. They will fit they wont fit...lol How about this any of you guys with a GXP want to try and swap the front for the rear and see what really happens? That would probably be the end all of this discussion if anyone has the time to do so?

any takers?

I went to a couple tire and wheel websites and compared the two cars and rims and according to the sites the Grand Prix GXP and the Bonneville GXP can use the same wheels. I know one is off set and that was also my question when asking if they would work but I guess I should have clarified that when asking.

i believe they do i have done it on my where i have ran all 4 8" wheels all the way around and also did the 71/2 also
