If i was to get 20" rims how wide would you recomend with out rub?

those 8.5" wide ones should be okay depending upon the offset. call or email the seller and find out. offset is what really matters for rubbing.

with 20 inch rims you can run a 235 tire and that is 235mm wide

you can and should run wider than that. 235s are pretty skinny when you consider the stock tires are 225s. you should run at least 245s on a nice set of wheels or youre not getting your moneys worth.

im runnin with a 245 35 20 witha offset of 11 but u have the newer model gp i think yours might be a lil different

there is no way your offset is +11mm. they would be way out of your fenders and you would never be able to keep it from rubbing unless you had springs in there that were way overrated in stiffness.

no mines fit in perfect like a stock wheel i might be wrong about my offset tho mines do rub a lil but only if i have some weight in the back. Usually when u look for wheels on the internet the rim page can pull up the average width of the tire they would recommend

it depends on the rim size and offset to determine what size tires and what kind of alignment specs you need to run in order for them not to rub. a lot of subaru guys run a good amount of camber to not rub with their wheels, but i wouldnt go that far.
