• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Starting to get really pissed off

I've been waiting TWO ****ING MONTHS now to get this swap done. I've had all the parts just SITTING in my garage waiting to be put on the car. The guy that was gunna do it for me ended up leaving for college earlier than I thought, but he had a friend that can do it, I thought ok I'll just have him do it cool. I've been waiting A MONTH AND A HALF for this ASSHOLE to "put me in his schedule". **** YOU.

Well you have had the parts for two months yes. But it took you till the second week of August to get all the gaskets... which so happened to be 3 days before I left for school... 2 of those days I had to work. I've been at school for 2 weeks... so yeah I don't think its been quite a month and a half yet. If I had all the parts/gaskets/fluids ready to go with a decent amount of time to work on your car, then I gladly would have done it. But that was not the case. If you would like me to, I can tell scott not to worry about it. And you can just go with the guy from your work. Your call...

Jim you know that had nothing to do with you right, are you kidding me, you saved my car. Alot of the things in the swap are going bad on my car and to buy all those parts and have them replaced by a shop....well needless to say mar car would be totaled right now not getting supercharged. If I hadn't met you I would not a grand prix right now and I'd be stuck with a huge car payment. Thank you.

seriously. do it yourself. youll learn a hell of a lot more and youll then know how to fix literally anythign with the motor. just do it.

I've never messed w/ these sixers til now..always been the old SBC's. Now the motor is out and torn down damn near to the block. Not sure if I'll fix this one or get a junkyard motor but either way it will go back together and run.

If I can do it you can do it!! :)

I honestly thought about it and wanted to for a couple days, but then I started researching and looking at the how-to topswap thread in the n/a 3800 section and realized I didn't even know what some of the parts mentioned in there were, and at that point I decided since this is my DD I'd be much more comfortable paying someone with experience to do it.

Well I already have a supercharged 3.8, so I guess it wouldn't benefit my car. In fact since I have a 07 model can't even da a performance tune. I only have a few basic mods because of that. Anyway it sounds like an interesting modification.

Yeah if you already have a supercharged car it's useless, but if you're car is N/A and you topswap it with the S/C topend you actually have more HP than the standard S/C engine because the N/A engines have higher compression.

You get the parts used, no one buys all those parts brand new.
I got the entire swap for $300, but that was a pretty sick deal (thanks again Jim).

How much did you buy em for?

29 a side plus tax. eBay has em for 59 side plus shipping which as you know is raped for Canada ppl. LoL

they are longer than I need which is perfect!
