Question on wheels for 2007 Grand Prix GT

I was going to get Sport Edition 18" KV5 in chrome from the Tire Rack, but they are back ordered until Aug. I really dont feel like waitting that long and know that they stock the KV5 for other vehicles that would fit my GP GT.

Example a 2007 Ford Mustang GT
Offset: 45mm
Backspacing: 6.29"
Bolt Pattern: 5-114

The 2007 GP GT calls for
Offset: 40mm
Backspacing: 6.10"
Bolt Pattern: 5-115

What would be my best option or vehcile that would work for Offset/Backspacing/Bolt Pattern as I want to order these wheels now and don't want to wait for the Aug delivery of the 5-115

if you want the wheels to look better how they sit then get something in the area of a high +30mm offset. a +36mm would look ideal, really.

you can go down to about a +28 before you have to start worrying about serious rubbing issues.

I looked up a 20007 Nissian Altima 3.5 and it has the following specs for wheels. Is there another vehilce I should search for to obtain the best Offset/backspacing?

Offset: 35mm
Backspacing: 5.90"
Bolt Pattern: 5-114

dont look for a vehicle in specific. look for the wheels you want and pick a good offset.

otherwise if you wanted to stick with the altima just because it has an offset of 35 then have at it.

The wheel offset options are 45mm or 35mm. Do you think the 45mm will stick outside of the fender lip?

Tires will be 245/45/18

a higher offset goes INTO the fender. the lower the offset the farther they will stock out.

With that being said, and not wanting the wheel to stick out to much I take it the 45 would not stick out ?

04+ are 52mm, so 35 would be too wide?, 45s are a little wider than stock?

they arent any wider, it is just where the rim will sit compared to the wheel well. if you get a +50 offset it will be tucked into the fender a little, whereas you get a +20 offset and it will stick out of the fender. this does not mean the rim is wider, it is just where the rim itself is made to stick out farther.

this is why im telling you to get something around +35 to +40 so that it doesnt stick out too far, but makes the car look a little nicer because the wheels/tires will be more flush with the fenders. by all means, go with a higher offset because the risk of rubbing is greatly reduced. i was just saying it LOOKS nicer to have a little lower offset than stock.

got you, so you would suggest the 35 over the 45 offset or vise a versa
Do you think the chrome KV5 look better than the silver KV5, my GP is stealth Grey

chrome always looks nicer than silver and is a little easier to take care of, but you are paying for the extra luxury of it.

im not going to suggest anything to you. both will fit and both will probably be just fine without rubbing. if it were me, i would get the +35mm offset. if you want to play it safe and make sure you dont have to roll your fenders or anything then get the +45mm. i already have my fenders rolled from when i was running my 19s. i could probably go down to nearly a +20mm offset without serious rubbing issues.
