I need a tune bad. Anyone reliable in southwest Virginia? I also travel to Richmond every so often if there are options there too.

About to drop to a 3.4 or 3.5 but need to address this knock issue I'm having with the 3.8. I had the supercharger belt off for a while and there was no knock but when it's on it's up to 8 degrees sometimes.:th_wtf:

Please help and let me know where to go!

I have hptuners software, I'm in frederick, md

I wouldn't say I'm reliable tho as I'm learning as I go with my car.

Thanks QL but I was hoping to keep the distance as far down as possible. Nobody in Richmond? I thought they had a pretty good GP crowd there...?

What are your current mods? Im down here in NC a few hours away. Where in VA?

Mod-wise, not so much. ZZP PCM, 3" fenderwell, 104s (605s at the moment but going back to 104s, they responded better) ZZP shorty to stock cat, ubend deleted, Powerlog, and if there is anything else, I can't recall right now. The mods are minimal but I'm not looking for a ton of power...just to get down to a 3.4 or 3.5 with minimal knock.

I can't tell if I have false knock goin on or not. The aeroforce shows that I am fine up until about 3lbs of boost. Ranges anywhere from 0 to 8 degrees of kr.

Where are you in NC. I would travel to you if we can get it done on the weekend. Let me know and I really appreciate it.

I personally dont have a tuner...there are a few shops around here though. The first thing id do is get rid of the ZZP pcm. They have the worst "off the self tunes" on the market. I've got a Intense pcm and ive never looked back. Other than the pcm, you have the same setup as I had on my gtp. You may have to get rockers or headers(or both) to get rid of your knock problem. Each car is different.... some seem like they are made on inspection day and some at 4:59 on friday lol. Are you running a 3in dp? If so, have you flipped the swaybar? They may be hitting against each toher.

Running the shorty 3" downpipe, the one that is welded to the cat. Bought that when I was broke just to get by. My front sway just cracked so when the GMPP goes in, I will flip it.

I also bought the zzp pcm when it was still common to (and recommended :th_scratchhead:) put on a 3.4 without any supporting mods. I've never been able to get a scan but always thought that fueling might be off in that tune. Looking into a overkill if I don't get a tune, tune. That is what I would prefer so I know that it's specific to my car.

Thanks for the help. Might get in touch with you when I have the time to come down to see who you recommend...have you heard of Jeff Creech? He is going to be tuning my GTO soon and I may have him tune the GTP also. Wondered if anyone has gone to him before on here. I think he's in Concord, NC.

I had a 2.5 shorty on my gtp. ZZP's exhaust products are great, but there PCM sucks! Will does a good tune, just takes a lil bit due to the fact he's in Canada. What year GTO do you have? Never heard of Jeff. Im about an hour north of Concord, but I go down there all the time (Bass Pro Shop).

2005 GTO. Cammed, bolt ons, tune etc. Hopefully the pic shows up...

Thanks man. Needs to be lowered as you can tell. Going in for a bigger cam here in a few months along with a retune and then heads down the line.

It's hard to decide which car to put the money into...:th_laugh-lol2:

I've thought about it but I think that I am going to stick with a big cam. I like the idea of n/a and maybe some smack down the line. I'm picking up spintech side exit exhaust here soon and with a big lope, should sound sick and have tons of power up top.
