• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Misfire Code

Getting the generic P00300. The solution offered by the parts store was to replace all the wires and coils (the plugs are less than two months old). I have a set of wires left over from my Monte Carlo, but I am not spending $500 to replace all the coils for no reason.

Is there any way to get this narrowed down?

I believe this one by Bosch does but they also sell a few different version with more features of this style scan tool. I would do some reading and maybe watching reviews to get a better idea.

I'm spoiled because I have a small handheld scanner for quick stuff and then I use my laptop with tuner software if I really need to figure something out. I haven't looked real hard at what all these scan tools do now. Pretty much something in the $100-200 range should be able to read codes, do live data and also do ABS functions now.
