Waiting on transmission parts. Spent some time on the engine... IT RUNS AGAIN!!

My kid thought it was great. lol
Haha! It was about 4/10 sketch factor. I saw some hillbillies fire one up on a 3 wheel stand that looked like a cooked noodle and wind it up to about 5k without tipping. I felt pretty confident in my setup after that. I think you're safe as long as you put the pin in the pivot.

You can let em run for several minutes without coolant, the oil is still cold and will help keep it cool.
I'd let it idle longer to check for leaks and crap like that while it's on the stand. You can even just shove a garden hose down the water pump neck to keep it cooler longer.

Update:
The Yukon shell is tentatively sold for $500. Guy gave me $100 to hold it, balance to be paid on 10/20. I'm counting my chickens before they hatch here but...
Bought running Yukon for $1000, sold the t-case for $350, some other misc pieces and parts for $150 and the shell for $500. That's a payback of $1000! That makes the motor, transmission and all the other little trinkets I pulled FREE!! Only as far as dollars are concerned though. I worked my butt off to get them out. Still calling that a win.
The 4L60e I was building for a buddy is finally done and should be picked up tomorrow.
This clears my plate to focus on the K10 disassembly. Unfortunately, do to the way vehicles are situated I really can't decommission the K10 until the Yukon is gone. So I guess I spend the next few days planning and researching...

Not really. Some performance upgrades but no major hard parts.
Alto red frictions and kolene steels. Trans-go valve body kit and upgraded aluminum 1-2 and forward accumulator pistons.
*Edit: Corvette servo also.

Well, The Yukon is gone.
Pulled it out front with the K10. Buyer put $400 in my hand and I put the title in his. Everyone walked away happy.
