Massive inprovement in front end feel for 50$

Will the K200787 bushings fit my 2007 GT's stock LCA's? Or is this a Series 2 thing only? I've been driving around for a couple weeks annoyed about the boxy steering performance on my 2007 GT, then I saw this thread and thought OH BOY I NEED THAT, but everyone here seems to be talking about their Series 2 GPs and I feel left out. :<
 


Yes they will Fit. get poly urethane stab links and sway bar bushings also. Strut tower braces help a bunch also.

Alright, so when I place this order I should be looking at two K200787's (front left/front right), two K700527's (also front left/right), and two strut tower braces ?? Do you have a part number? The Moog website is a nightmare and this stuff being all Greek to me doesn't help much. Rock Auto is a bit easier to navigate but I don't see "strut tower brace" per se.
 


It might not make a difference, but I'd do it through the top just cuz the factory put the bushings through the top of the LCAs, and they probably had a reason to.

Most likely reason is cuz it was easier or faster.
 
Quick question. These get pressed in through the top of the LCA, correct? The op pic has them going both ways. Does it matter?


I just did these and I put them in the same way the factory did. One goes in the top and the other goes from the bottom. The arms are basically the same just flipped from side to side. I had them pressed in but just some random moving of these and the bushing fell out. My fix was to weld them in with a few tacks.

Mine were both through the top, and it looked like they had been there since 2003... but now I just don't know. lol

I also had the 20mm front sway and no tab on the back of the LCA, so that might have been it.

I put mine in the same way and the same thing happened to me, and my fix was the same LOL. No worries after that.

The Moog K200787 Vertical Bushing gets pressed in from the bottom of the driver's side control arm, and through the top of the passenger side control arm. It does make a difference in how the K200787 bushing works. I have spoken to a number of mechanics who have installed bushings and they confirmed this. If you note, the OEM bushings were installed that way

The video on page one show a cutaway of the bushing and its looks to be the exact same top or bottom. The control arms have a taper to them where the bushing is. The factory bushings are pressed into that taper and that is the way I would do these. The way the controls arms are designed puts that taper on the top of one and the bottom of the other.
 
Ok I watched the videos. Has anyone attempted using the ball joing tool or the tools in the video on the wbody control arms?

I am plannng on doing this but I wonder if the control arm will collapse on install.

The driver's side vertical (front) bushing gets pressed into the control arm from the bottom, and the passenger side vertical (front) bushing gets pressed into the control arm from the top

The reading makes a point about using the "proper" tool.

I think they rent those at O'reilly, and sell them at Harbor Freight for like $50.

I have a 97 gtp, southern california car its whole life. The lca's have no rust or any kind of blemishes that I can see. 203k miles. I have had the rat suspension kit on the car for about 125k mi. Do you think i should get all new lca's or just the bushings?

They can be a pain in the butt to rebuild. I did it though and I used factory arms. I used the moog problem solver bushing ac delco for the other bush and the ball joints. The car feels better than ever. The rest of my suspension is also new. The car just did not feel right til I did these controls arms and I had put a newer set of moog controls arms in a few years ago. The steering feel lighter and responsive and it seems to stay balanced through curves. I have owned the cars since new and this is one of my favorite mods.
