I looked a little. The closest ones to me under a grand are in Texas. They are about $700. Then they ding you for $300 freight and boom, you're up over a thousand again.
The rest of them say "call for price" So sick of that game. They ask you what kind of prices you've already gotten so they can see how bad to screw you. Just give me a price you crook. I absolutely hate traditional salvage yards. Ebay, Pick-a-part, and my favorite Craigslist seem to be the best bet.
That is insane, look on car-part .com, you should be able to get one shipped for way less than that
