My guess is the main seal came unseated and started making a nice groove in the balancer, I ended up buying a new balancer and main seal to prevent it from snapping on me down the road

All set and done, can hear the squeaking/squealing I mentioned before. Then after the 2nd rev, it goes away.

I've come a long way red, huh? Haha. Remember that first strut experience? Wow, glad I did the install myself and saved money. I learned a lot. It was a big help having my brother help tear down the first day and come the last to put some of it back together too.

Did you retain the stock high volume oil pump?

Thanks man, yes I did. Some people use a bolt to cap the pressure valve in the oil pan to get rid of that. But since the car had dod prior, it has the high volume pump.

So I ordered new wheels for the car yesterday. Specs are 20x9 +35 and 20x10.5 +40. Pictures to come once I get them;)

i finally got rid of the camaro 20s and got a nice, more aggresive offset wheels with some concave for the g8. there is a slight stretch on the fronts and the rears as these were the sizes on my camaro wheels. with them still being basically brand new, i just switched them onto the new, next time ill be going with a 285 or possibly a 295 for the rear. with a 255 up front.

Str 607
Fronts 20x9 +35 245/35/20
Rears 20x10.5 +40 275/30/20

they clear the front ctsv v1 4 piston brembos with no spacer, as well as the cts v rears with squash bracket.
