Subway's GT: Time to close my legs, it smells everywhere

Re: I dip my balls in Jared Fogle's personal marinara sauce

Debadge it for an even better and cleaner look.

I was thinking about it, but didn't know if there would be faded spot with the emblem being on there for so long. I see it in the future though :).

Re: Subway's 2001 GT: Big plans

So as many of you know, I will be eventually top swapping my car. Not exactly sure when it will be done, but hopefully it'll be before the W-Body meet. I'm trying to do this on a budget of $500, and so far it's looking like it's gonna be right at $500. But as with any project goes, it will probably go over ;). I'm very excited for this as this will be the biggest mod I've done before.

And after I'm convinced that the car runs well with everything, I will maybe sell my N/A parts and not sell my car, but run it into the ground. That way I'll get the most out of it.

Re: Subway's 2001 GT: Big plans

Lol, first I was talking about mods before Michigan which turned into convincing me to top swap. Next I talk about how I want to top swap and then it turns into "fouled" crusty socks. Lololol, I guess this is what I get for having a pedo name haha.

Re: Subway's 2001 GT: Big plans

Won't be that noticeable since your car is light in color. Even by hand you can get some decent results with a little compound like Meguiar's ultimate compound to remove any ghosting.

Re: Subway's 2001 GT: Big plans

The elbow grease used during polishing should create enough friction to warm the paint if its above freezing anyway. Don't let polish freeze btw. Fifty will get you a buffer and pad at HF I bet. Don't de-badge if the emblem has ever been masked off for paint work. Check it closely for evidence of a paint edge first. Speaking of elbow grease-

A crispy tube sock from under your bed won't work

Had a coughing fit brought on by the lol from reading that one! Fu-nny.

Emblems have never been masked off so that's a good start. I'll do it in spring when it's a bit warmer. It's like 20* now.

Re: I dip my balls in Jared Fogle's personal marinara sauce

That would be best. The attachment tape would be brittle now but much softer on a sunny spring day and warmed with a hairdryer or heat gun.

Re: Subway's 2001 GT: Big plans

So I purchased SD headers today for $160 shipped. That's a hell of a deal. Bought them from a guy on the Regal forum (thanks again to Scott). I guess no one else wanted them because it's been about a week since I first emailed him. Should be here by next week or so depending on when he can ship them out. That's one thing to cross of the parts list for top swapping.
