• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Massive inprovement in front end feel for 50$

Just got in touch with Dalton at Moog:

"Yes the CK series control arms will have the problem solver line of bushings installed. They are still rubber bushings but they are the problem solver line which are going to be better than standard OEM rubber."

Sounds like a really shady way to advertise their product. Makes it seem better than it is.

Bullsh!t.

Still looking for the poly forward bushing insert. See post #39 on page 2. Something HAS to fit ......

I don't know if these are Poly but Moog has these. They are a 2 piece insert for out control arms. If they aren't poly, get them, measure them, give measurements to Energy Suspension and they may be able to find you something then return the Moog ones lol.

I called ES a few weeks ago. The conversation that took place left me feeling like me and the rep were both stoned out of minds. I had no idea what he was talking about and he didn't understand what I was asking for - even with exact measurements. So I just hung up. I might take those measurements , put them into an email and hope someone replies with a part #

We'll see. I have other things on my plate at this time. I was hoping to have this figured out before fall so it could all be installed at once. I dunno ...

So I notice the starter of this thread installed one the right way and the other one upside down.
Am I to understand installed upside down they move so much that the CV axel boot tears from lower control arm movement?
Sounds like if they moved that much the car would be all over the road??
From the design I could see smother up and down movement only.
I cant see how it would be possible for any right or left movement
Has the starter of this thread that installed one upside down had any problems?

Its just questions I am asking I am not a know it all kind
All these things are nice to know

If I had not seen this thread I would not know Moog make such a item so many thanks for the information

Haven't had any issues. Car still does great. Boots are not torn. Has done a few autox events and a few thousand miles.

I don't know if Frosty has had problems, but I also installed them upside down and it did cause problems. My driver side bushing began to pull out, by about 1\4 of an inch so I didn't chance it. I pull the LCA and flipped them both. My passenger side wasn't pulling out, but the boot (not the CV boot, the boot on the bushing itself) was ripped. I replaced both bushings under warranty (even though only the passenger side was bad), and I have no clue if the upside down problem contributed to the boot tearing on the passenger side.

No I think one of your 137 relays flew off and hit your cv boot and ripped it. LOL

The lip on the bottom side, I'll go find a pic. I never had a CV boot rip, not yet at least.

Left is correct, right is incorrect. Frosty was\is fine, but mine started to pull out a bit so I flipped them both to be safe.

So forgive my stupidity, i'm planning on buying Moog CK80539 and CK80538 control arms, if I wanna do this I buy 2 Moog K200787 and have a shop press them in, for the people who did it upside down, wouldn't the shop who pressed them in know what side was up?
