• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Subway's GT: Time to close my legs, it smells everywhere

Re: Jared's 2001 GT

Depends on the issues. Clutches can wear and cause slip. A tps or maf could cause trans slip. There's so many cases. On the ones I recognize as not being fixed by fluid/filter then yes.. sometime I know enough and suggest a rebuild/replacement.

FWIW, I have found used transmissions with 100K for $100 that worked great.

Re: Jared's 2001 GT

Same. My buddy picked up a Regal trans for $200...guy said it had 94k~ "or so". He's got 149k on the car and it's still going strong. We put that trans in like 30k ago.

Re: Jared's 2001 GT

Bill has a how to. It is actually not that bad. Bill managed to do mine with the wheels on the car (because 7 sided lug nuts) in about half a day.

Re: Jared's 2001 GT

Don't attempt this on your own. You will need a 2nd set of hands even IF you knew what you were doing
