02 GTP Update and a KR question

Installed the new KYB struts today. I was able to schedule access to the Pod so got some tools...my floor jack and jack stands...and OMG what was in the drawer with the ratcheting wrenches but my OBD MX bluetooth adapter!

Not sure what it is with the RR strut, but what a bear...upper studs wouldn't line up for nothing. Recall having the same problem with RR on the 98 and the 01. Other 3 were easy peasy.

Anyway, I updated my Torque app and how have a large KR indicator on my real time screen...I am assuming WOT is when to measure? Is speed important or just RPMs? Going out for a run to take some readings tomorrow.

lol, I know. I was talking to a local guy today about injector duty cycle because he want's to switch to e85 and I was like, you need to watch that at wot. you know how much easier it is to look at a hp tuner scan on the computer after the driving is done.

KYB strut-plus, the fully assembled struts/springs. Was doing this in my buddy's driveway today (still house hunting, no garage) so didn't want to dick around with the spring compressor. Put these on the 98 GT and really did a lot for the ride and handling.

Sarge, this was the car I bought with mods, so good advice I got here was to scan for KR and confirm that all is well. Will be sure to stay away from trees while scanning LOL.

dhp scan was how i knew when it started too lol

you never know when a tree is going to jump out right in front of you.

does dhp have a mode to see injector duty cycle? I didn't think it did.

find yourself a stait away and mash it...wouldn't hurt to have someone ride shotgun and watch the gauge. best bet is to have only the KR gauge selected because multiple gauges slows the app updating down.

The tree thing was a joke lol.

The only time a tree pops out is when you're drunk. You see when I drink heavy and drive fast, trees pop out like crazy and then I get pulled over by the cops. I tell them the trees are going crazy but the cops tell me it's my air freshner.......

funny thing is that my dad never drank, but actually wrecked his dads new truck by hitting a tree, and was completely sober.

I'm a full time student going to college online. if I didn't go to the gym or buy groceries, it is likely I would never leave the house. I did get a part time job, but it doesn't start until august 31. that pretty much sums up my life for the past 18 months, except for the drama with my wifes job.

pulse rate is different than duty cycle. duty cycle is actually a numerical value on what percent of flow the injectors are flowing. I can't remember exactly what pulse rate is, but its not exactly the same.

With dhp you calculate your own IDC using the rpm and IPW. Just google "injector duty cycle calculator" and punch in the rpm and ipw, and voila.
