Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

I'll invest in one of those later. I'll make due with what I have for the time being. Thanks though!

Just bought the thread sealant (the jar Scotty pictured above), 2 quarts of oil (I had 3 sitting at home), and the oil filter. I think I'm all set this time.

Tomorrow morning is when I'll start it. Around 8 or 9am CST so if you remember that time, be sure to think of me hahahaha, JK.

So I was a able to get the gaskets changed and all went well. Started car, revved a bit high and then normal idle. Took it out of the garage into the driveway, had it run for 30 seconds, shut car off, walk back to garage, notice a HUGE puddle of oil. About 3 quarts worth. It was on the passenger side of the car. Sprinted to the trash and grabbed the old oil filter. No gasket on it. Motherf*cker. Long story short, the car was ran with like a 1.5 quart of oil, but it wasn't even a minute. Should everything be ok? I went back to the oil filter on the car, cut the extra gasket off, and screwed the new filter back on. It should be leak free, but I'm terrified to start this car again. I still need to bleed the coolant though. But holy sh*t I'm scared to drive this car now. I filled it back up with the remaning oil I had. It's just reading the add 1 quart mark now, but I don't want to run it.

You remember your oil filter thread? I commented on this exact scenario. It was actually quite funny in my case
yes. Make sure there is one filter gasket installed. Add your oil starting with 1qt. Run the motor shut off. Check your dip stick. Rinse. Repeat until full. Be happy. Pat yourself on the back and drive your car ;)

take the old seal off the filter housing, then drain the oil the rest of the way, then put a new filter and new oil in there, you just did your oil change lol

Sounded like he already did the oil change and screwed up his gasket by not checking to see if the old was off the filter neck ?

Correct. I'm dreading starting my car now though. Will you do it for me lol? I'll srart it and shut it off quickly and see if it does it. I haven't drilled the T-Stat, I don't know what that is, but I have a bleeder screw?

As long as there is oil on your dip stick , you'll be ok. But again just add another quart before you drive it and check the level.

I know the feeling of turning the key for the first time.
My cam install scared me lol and look at my latest build- yeah. Pins and needles is an understatement !

should have heard my build fire up for the first time. it sounded great, but this loud banging sound,,,,,then i said, wait, i forgot to tighten the w/p pulley down. it was only finger tight lol

I've got the oil level full now, but 2 problems. 1, the car starts at a high rev. It'll shoot up to about 1500rpm no matter if it was running 10 seconds ago. Then it idles higher than before. It won't go below 1k rpm. 2, when you hit the brakes, they clunk and do weird noises when you stop. It's rough too. My car was perfect before the repair. WTF??

vac leak. spray some carb cleaner at the lines. if the idle goes higher you found th eleak area.

that dumb Y fitting you have off the tb likes to break.

I will try that. I also read on a Jeep forum site, you could have an air leak in the engine. But I torqued the LIM bolts in sequence and used the sealant and made sure the gaskets didn't move. I feel like my car is gonna blow up now.
