Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What did you do to your Car today?

Started this about 10 minutes ago:

Ran another power line for the stereo today. Now I have a 4 AWG for the Infinity and a 4 AWG with a free half farad cap for the Orion amp. So now I have a CS144 with a charge wire ran to the fuse box, a charge wire ran to the battery, a ground from the battery to the frame, a ground from the alternator to the battery, a ground from the frame to the transmissions, and these power wires...and my lights stuff F*CKING dim. I mean I can understand a little dimming I guess, but they are dimming way to easily IMO. I'm having the battery tested, but I'm pretty much at a loss from there...
Cleaned up a lot of other little stuff along the way, so it turned into an all day project, but everything is a lot more organized:

Well, last night once I had the car back together I drove my cousin, who had went with me to the mall, back to his house and dropped him off. As previously mentioned the temp gauge was not working at that time. I stopped at my uncle's house to BS and stuff after that.

Once I drove the two miles home from there later in the evening I decided I would take the rad cap off and let it sit overnight to relieve any possible air pockets. When I got up this morning I went out to check and sure enough I had to add about a cup or more of coolant. Started it up and now my temp gauge works, so that solves that.

Oh, I did forget to mention that once I had gotten to my uncles that we tried to look things over real quick and I loosened up the bleeder to get trapped air out. When I tightened it back down the damn top part of the bleeder snapped off flush. Luckily it didn't leak and Advance has new ones on stock.

I did the big 3 upgrade on my 01.. H/o alternator, 1 gauge wires from alternator to battery, 1 gauge power wires, 1000 watt alpine amp, 2 12 alpine type r. I still get little dims at max volume. It may have something to do with the 400 watts to the bose system aswell. No power cap, interstate battery. The wire cables might be 0 gauge not positive on the size, but it is more than enough.

installed the front strut tower brace in today. I feel a difference in turning, feels safer... but yeah I felt a difference. It kinda feels like a lost power steering a bit, I'll check the fluid tomorrow, I'm getting the fake supercharger whine and it feels rough when you completely turn the wheel.

Talked to my brother this evening about all the adventures of yesterday. The overpass that the tire for the dolly flew off of is actually over a smaller road. He made drove the few miles down and around to the road to see if he could find the wheel. Lo and behold he actually found it laying almost right next to the road.

Unfortunately, it is going to require a good bit of work to repair it. We're probably not going to be able to do it ourselves. We are going to have to have a whole new spindle welded on there and neither of us have a stick welder, or are good enough with a stick welder to even trust our weld job.

Replaced the leaking radiator in the parent's 03 dodge caravan. Just shy of 87k miles and it was leaking from the aluminum part. Figured the coolant and t-stat is original, might as well replace those. So full coolant flush and conversion from mopar-cool to prestone universal coolant, and new thermostat. When I was under the van I noticed the motor mount was cracked where the bolt goes through it. So unfortunately I had the job of replacing that, and one of the bolts snapped. Everything was so corroded. I heated the crap out of the other 2 and barely got them out without breaking them. Took them to the wire wheel and got them shiny and used lots of anti-seize. That one bolt that snapped went through a nut that's welded to the frame, so I had to use the cutoff wheel on that and nut/bolt it. Got it done by dinner.
I/we saved like $60 with advance auto online coupons. The limit is $50 per order so I made a new order and another coupon lol.

Finally decided working out in the woods needed to have a working multifunction switch. Hit the JY with Kyle and swapped it out. Took so little time.

Got a lovely 9° of kr earlier getting on the highway, 9° in 2nd at 4900rpm, cleared up to nothing by 5300rpm.. did another pull shortly after and only got 2° at the downshift... damn Buick.. I'm back in Ohio now, had a great weekend in Texas with 70°+ weather, I'll be back in the warmth here in a couple weeks though. Maybe 9° was the Regal protesting for me leaving it at the airport for 5 days..
