Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

GI 2.93 1" gearsets, "Mr Norris' third fist" brace

id say that looks like a whole lotta "yer fawked"...i tore one apat for the trans case core (gotta be skillfull to remove starter and not snap the damn bell)
there was like zero room, the engine to diff brace/bracket is like 1/2" wide and the 80e is at least two inches bigger OD at the diff surface.

id bet it'd be possible, but it'd take modifying the case and block
Yea...memories of me doing a trans swap on a caddy years back kind of flashed in my head. Figured as big as that ****er is there'd be no hope. Ah well life goes on

sure.
buy a G/H/C/B body, swap in using all oem parts

at this point there's far more untapped potential into a 3800/th400 swapped catera, which is nearly a midget GTO with far more ****yew potential. though ditch the frontend cladding for the opel ****...

if i didnt have a POS 84 toyota wagon that looked a crapload like a mini GN/regal waGN, id be doing a catera.
all the joys of a rwd 4th gen F body....without that ****ing cowl and high price tag

saw an 01 with a blown motor (youll see that alot) for 1200$

id paint the "ziggy" duck on the back flippin ya off...

How much would guys spend on a 4T80E conversion.
I have a good amount of runs on mine at high power level and high traction level.
My motor mount setup have held up great.
It would be an expensive conversion.

We would have to build you guys a custom Cradle with mounts built into it. And then build custom mounts to bolt on to your 4t80e trans and a custom bracket for the block to the trans.
And drill your flywheel to the 4t80e specs and have more spacers cut CNC to the exact specs to match the 4T80E torque converter bosses.

I would be at least 2 grand upgrade + the trans and parts and I'd have to build like 10 for it to be worth it.
I'm planning to do the front trans too on my twin engine so it's bulletproof.

Id throw my wallet at someone to mock me up a cradle and a DIY kit for 2k..... Hell all I'd like is the damn mount placement and a weld *here* type template or something and id be happy, until I get to mock one up.

2k upgrade.... turbo trans is $3600

The best way to do it is to test fit each set to be 100% sure. Its a tough sqeeze and the motor has to be moved forward. That trows off setups

and this is a large reason why we went to a clean slate and new chassis.

i looked at modifying the g/h body for the W body...then i planned out a tubular subframe, then found i wanted to ditch the ****ty stock LCA's, ditch the oem subframe bushings....etc etc

i had a hard time seeing someone want to spend that kind of coin when the G/H bodies are about the same weight and a better starting platform since the 80e bolts in
