Had a race with a Maverick 1000 side by side who tought he could take my stock GTP. He was dead serious lol.
We said nothing. After the race, he asked me four times HOW MUCH HORSEPOWER IN THAT THING ??? lol

Yes, cranked up the boost...
That 4t80e cadillac trans can take it.. No slip, ran HARD and clean, clean shifts wow.
Boost is very high now. 650HP+ on the rear engine. ET streets in the back, Full sicks in front.
550HP in Front.

Just sick. I just need a stronger 0-10 feet, more boost off the line would help.

Check it out ! That vid finally shows a glimpse of what it feels like. The video from outside show my face deform from the G-force.

That is fcukin ridiculous lol. Awesome!
It's 100% Exhilarating. What a rush... pretty addictive. I have to stop myself from driving it.

What I find really cool about this is project is I'm still on bone stock high miles engines and used stock trans as well.
Even though that 4t80e isn't stock in a GTP I still paid 150$ for it.
But in the end, built trans will make the car even quicker with harder shifts and more efficient power to the ground once I crank it up further than this.

Im very tempted to do a 4t80e for the front... But a step by step wont help you need cust motor mounts

Can someone for the love of god do a step by step write up of whats needed for the 4t80 swap!!!! Cmon be my hero. lol

It wouldnt whoop everything but on a 1/4 on the street it would beat Many fancy highly modded cars

I have a race set up soon vs a zx-14 bike

Yeah Im talking tuning side of it along with the what cv's to use and what hubs for sure and a flex plate solution like discussed in the other thread a little. Everything minus the mounts for a step by step would be huge IMO. I understand the mounts could vary greatly depending on application. Like a fwd turbo application for example may need to be shifted around to fit in the engine bay properly.

Anyone else know how many wbodys have been in the 9s? Half a dozen? More than that?
X2 on the big trap speeds! Cant wait to see it.

I only know of 4... tho I am in the hunt myself to become a 9's member finally, if I ever seen my car back.

I am sure once Ben gets it all worked out 100% like he wants, deep into the 9's, and 8's are in the near future. Needs a weight loss program ;)

The car still has full doors/windows minus the panels...
I have zero lexan in that car, that is a 150lbs I think total if I go lexan.
Then the dash is another 100lbs. Lightweight hood.
Lightweight wheels.

300 lbs+ easy. but it's $$$$
Then a lot of weight if I go tube chassis hybrid and aluminum floors like the Matt M's 8 second GTP.

Built engine + trans will open up possibilities power wise. The car can make 2000 whp with ease once built on both ends.
Now it's 4400lbs but 1150-1200 HP crank.

You and I have the same thoughts... Ill be doing lexan, got the lightweight stock style hood already, and 10pt cage goes in, dash
needs redone. I'd like to drop 150-200lbs somehow without really ruining the car from appearing stock. 100lbs will be doable easily,
the other 100 will be hard. Lexan glass from optic armour the sales rep said should be ~75lbs in savings give or take some. He only
recommend the door glass if you don't have them go up/down.

My car is so hot inside I need windows that open absolutely unless I really completely seal up the rear compartment and vent it through the little rear side windows.
