• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

regal top swapped problems

A lot of times on the internet people like to watch others get bashed on. Idk why, buy its true.
Also, there isn't really a professional attitude or way of doing things on the internet.

Also, since this is the internet, it's kind of hit and miss as to whether what a member suggests be looked at or replaced or fixed is actually the problem or not. It's much easier to track down a problem and fix it when you can see and touch the car rather than getting someone else's perspective on what the issue is.

That being said, I hope people can help give enough input and advice for you to get your car working properly.

whats funny is if he had posted the pics im sure Bill would have spotted something long ago.

thats how BIll rolls, he asks for your help, to help you. if you can follow up with pics hes just got no time for that.

you pissed off a guy who can identify any single bolt from a pic, from any where off the car.

This! Very simple to get his help YOU just have to make the effort..asking someone who's trying to helps you for FREE to go back and find the link is ridiculous then being a douche about yea you can't hello after all that.

This is one of the things that really grinds my gears on here, 2 different people will post that something is either junk or good without either person stating why/how they know.......And saying that ZZP has done a top swap is before is not really a reason. Sven how do you know that the tune is junk? You aren't driving his car, you haven't looked at a bin of his tune so without doing either you have no real way of telling this. DH pretty much what I just told Sven...
/end rant

On a side note, since your car is a 97 a lot of your readings are going to be backwards or negative numbers since your car is a 97, my 97 GTP showed a lot of stuff in negative numbers.

Sorry Slick, haven't been on in awhile. To reply, ZZP told me when I top swapped my 97 GP GT that a proper tune would be impossible. That's how I "know" the tune is junk. Yet, they still offer a mail order tune... Until TinyTuner became available, there was no way to change the transmission type in the vehicle...even DHP couldn't do it. I researched all aspects. Chances are they used HPT and plugged SC info into a NA file...like most people do. And what happens when the PCM sees boost on a NA table? It freaks out...kinda like his car is doing. These are obviously all things I haven't seen or could have possibly dealt with personally to know what's up. I admit I still haven't read through all of this thread...nor do I really have the time. I'm also not starting some sort of sh!t storm with the OP or DH...I simply don't have time to deal with it. I would personally try a properly set up PCM and see if it fixes it...that's all I was saying.
