They will if you drive stupid and run things over or push them too hard. I got run off the road and jumped a curb at 40mph with my xxrs and the only thing that happened was the lips got bent but there weren't any cracks

That would happen with any wheel. I've hit my bump stops a bunch and they're just fine.
