Thats a very old style o2 sensor, like an original type sensor with a poor design.

New denso sensors are far better and have more holes for exhaust gases to pass through.

the tip of the delco i put in was way more open as well. ill see in a weeks time if its really made a difference, so far it looks like it has.

fixed the wipers on the crapiece by changing the fuse. Easiest fix ever

dude thats an off the assembly line O2 design

they stopped making that turbine design in 99 in favor of the newer perforated barrels...if it was replaced it was likely back in 02/03 was when i saw the last of new "old" acdelco's
shortly after the change they changed to delphi (couple-4 years or so after )

Looks like this heater core shouldn't be too bad after all , once I get done with this twin turbo kit on the z06 I'll get on mine. Until then bypass time.

Replaced the front valve cover gasket, Changed the oil, put on the summer tires and wheels, washed it up. Heading for OC MD this afternoon.

At least the part is cheap...the heater core in my '97 GA GT blew up and I replaced that one myself...had a headache for a week after basically standing on my head for an hour...

Grandpa picked up oil and a filter without calling me and got 5w-20 synthetic blend and a delco filter. Im taking the oil back tomorrow and looking for a non synthetic blend.
