What did you do to your Car today?

They aren't even done yet. I just used my uncle's pneumatic DA sander to get the heavy off. I have owned the car for over 3 years and they were always just black. It was so hard to get off it was almost like they were painted.

I intend going over them some more and wet sanding them and polishing them out.

I guess now I have to go to the internet to find a wheel and just keep looking locally for a hood for my car.

Scotty when I go to the pick n pull soon near me I'll look for some for ya.

Had I thought to look the last time I was at the JY I probably could have grabbed you some fogs. Is it just the stock housings you're after?

should either of you stumble across a a pair, yes just stock housing, the bolts that mount it, the light socket and both sides of the plug to the light socket. mines all hacked up with aftermarket crap.

now one burned out and they are sealed. so i cant fix them and id rather have stock ones.

hoping to not pay more then say $20 to $25 plus shipping for them.

thanks and good luck hunting for your own parts as well.

You can get new ones off ebay for 50 bucks scotty depends how desperate you are.

yup got em saved, but they dont come with the bolts, or the lights sockets. the light sockets are like another 8 bucks each, and then i still dont have the other side of the plug to the main harness to the fogs.

and i plan to tint them and hid them in the future so hazing really wont bother me, i can sand it off and tint them up.

as long as the bumper is coming off soon to be painted id rather it go back on with stock fogs one way or another.

Swapped thermostats to a 180 and made a video how-to. I don't drain the coolant in my way, so it's a lot faster. I'll get it edited and uploaded either tomorrow or Tuesday.

After the swap I went to my uncle's house in ray, mi to work a bit. Got the fuel filter, lower rad hose, mechanical fuel pump, and radiator cap off the 68 mustang to match up and replace since we don't know for sure what motor is in it. GP drove perfect the whole way, with the 180 t-stat it stays at 185 consistently on the freeway. It does go to 192-195 depending on how much city driving I do.

My tails already look flat. They were cleared. Scotty didn't you say something about compounding and waxing your tails to get them to shine?
