2008 Base GP TOTAL LOSS!! Fire



Imm seeking advice on how this could have started. Clearly the fire followed the wiring from the dash back but did not move forward
 


I contacted GM and in the end they said I can not file 2 claims insurance or through GM. PLus GM will only give me bluebook and I owe about 2k more than bluebook
 


Def go through insurance and just be done with it. Horrible car-b-q...glad you made it out and no one was hurt. As for what caused it, definitely something in the dash wiring, but due to the extent of the damage, GM will be useless since they may or may not be able to determine the origination point. Sorry this happened, and hope things work out okay for you in the end.

Joe - it's called depreciation...cars depreciate faster than you make payments...lol
 


Morad auto parts is in cleveland iirc he'd probably buy it off you for the motor and trans. I'd expect you'd only get about $800 tops out of it.
