Weight Loss or Weight Gain Thread "2012"

"Run and you'll only die tired."

Man, been a looong time since I messed with cardio. F that noise. Might throw in a little sprinting when it warms up, though... supposed to be baller for fatloss.

I used to run a lot. Two years ago I weighed 170lbs, I'm over 230lbs now.. Thats what happens when you screw your back up like I did and can't continue to work out.

^^^haha...good stuff...screw it, variations of DLs and Squats work your ab area enough....I hate it too, but have to get back into it after a decent amount of time off...

been a while...just started back up...had a light day...and boom there goes that damn sciatic nerve...pieced together a decent 3day split, and will eventually get back into wind sprints and other dreaded forms of HIIT...

sprinting aka HIIT aka best fat burning cardio out there. But its a PAIN IN THE ****ING ASS!

x2....but it's the only form of cardio that gives that similar feeling of acccomplishment as if it were a strong weight day....I used to do a pretty killer routine that was put together in 5x5 minute increments as if I were in a MMA style fight...wore me the F^ck out...there's a good heavy bag ground and pound routine we do here in training for work that involves 30 sec increments until a 15 min total is reached, and then the increments reverse until you're at a 30 sec finish...good stuff..

I run (such as it is) and I currently weigh around 280. Building back up to my first half marathon in a couple of years. Can't wait!

Haha, my chiropractor asked me if I ever did ab work. According to her, deadlifting 500lbs 4 days a week, front squats, and a ridiculous amount of overhead work don't count. Seeing as I'm still quite chubby, I hardly see a reason to bother with crunches, haha.

Plagues me, too. Fortunately, I haven't heard much from mine in months, which might have something to do with alterations in my routine. Hopefully, sprint work won't aggravate it too much. If nothing else, speed rope was only $5. Nothing quite so humbling as realizing that I was better at something at age 10 than I am now.

I don't wanna necessarily set a goal weight for myself, I just wanna be down to a weight where I feel healthy and confident with the way I look. :)
