Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

1971 Datsun

yeah new motor, was run on a test bench before i picked it up all compression was 155-160 and oil press stayed between 60-80 so good motor, S/C didnt rattle either.

damn thats clean!

you could just use your blower case you modded already then used this new engines blower rotors in your old case. some how im sure they are in better shape.

Hey im a Dawgs fan for life.... and dont want to mess the wifes van up because she would cut my balls off lol... wish i would have just bought a new motor in the first place...

oh well... it is a series III right and they did get the better rods though right?

Yup, better rods.

L32 > all the other motors, IMO.

Wasn't it still a series 2? Not sure there

yeah its a series II

Just to clear one thing up, the block with ALWAYS say series 2. GM wouldnt waste the money on building a new mold just for it to say "series 3" on the side. The internals and timing chain cover/oil filter housing were the biggest changes.

But in your case, because it's from a monte carlo it's still a L67 motor. Which in the end does not matter, it's clean ass hell on the outside and should be a great swap.

Just a quick update the new motor is in and runs like a scalded dog. Some times there is some hesitation but then its a rocket. Also vacuum still reads high, boost guage shows 15 though but cant rely on it because its bewn droped so many times... ill will try to get a video up but its realy busy here, im sure most of i have seen where the Navy F18 crashed, well that was one of my squadrons aircraft so there is alot going on. Ill update as soon as i get a chance

ok guys im only making 1-2 lbs of boost by my gauge and 0 by the torque app, i do however have an ungodly amount of vacuum, so i need to know on this engine what requires constant vacuum, cause i can pull a line off and it still runs fine at idle lol... i pull the dipstick out and it whistles lol... it almost acts like i need a crank case vent, i have swapped pcv valve, any ideas?

Im an idiot. figured it out. the pcv system is not working because the port that runs though the intake is no longer there.
