It eats oil and it ate a transmission in the summer. Still love it though.

After cold starting it at below 0°F temps and my p/s pump whining momentarily at startup, it's now whining all the time. Hope the cold didn't somehow kill it, I checked the fluid and it was hard to tell where it was, looked to be just under the bottom line and had some foam. Maybe just has moisture in it or something, Idk. I'm gonna flush it again and use stop leak power steering fluid since I'm sure at least half of the 97-03 gp's racks leak slightly.

Get the Lucas power steering fluid and use it instead. When I first bought my Stealth there was a minor power steering leak. I added a little Lucas power steering every time it got a little low and eventually the leak disappeared. Had a weird disappearing power steering fluid issue on the GP recently. Did the same thing with the Lucas and I haven't had an issue since.

Yeah I just confirmed, the fluid was pretty low. Didn't make it to the dipstick at all. Last time I checked was just a few months ago, and I filled it then. Lucas' fluid is just a stop leak additive, so I'll totally flush the system again and then add it per the directions recommended amount. Power steering leaks seem to be the easiet for stop leak addatives to fix, engine oil leaks never seem to get fixed from additives.

Also another problem I had is my headlights weren't adjusted right, it was actually the bracket's pins not all being in the right spots (oops) so I fixed that too just now. It warm out there, 25°F lol. Feels warm comparatively anyway.

In the cold..it sounded like something was loose over bumps in the right rear. I diagnosed it for many miles down the road and came up with.. I don't care.

Still got a bad passenger wheel speed sensor keeping trac and abs lights on,need both passenger side window motor/regulators, need to replace my hood lift supports since using an old crossbrace keeps my hood up only,and gotta figure whats causing this p0069 code which may just be a bad map sensor. And lastly replace front brake rotors to eliminate this damn shaking upon braking. Other then those issues she rides good.

Yea gonna be a semi busy income tax for me. Would like to deepen my mods but repairs always hold me back never fails lol.

^ that's life lol I can't tell you how many times I had my mind set on ordering something at the end up the week and then bam something comes up as there goes the fun money

Feels like my car idles high and kinda pulses it idles at 1000 rpm or is that normal for a 02 gtp

when cold ( ice cold start) it will idle at 1000 to 1200 till it warms up. once warm it should idle @ 800.

oh, and the jb weld repair on my rad tank failed today too. bummer. :(
