LOVE IT! I think the whole build of the car should be posted up here and more pics of the car. Can't wait for the final outcome and some mods! Put a big cam in it and fool people to think its a v8;)

the problem is that you'll have to pull the intake and everything off like you have right now so you can pull the lifters and get the cam out/in. it'd be easier now, hint hint. ;)

yeah didnt think about that. forgot im working with a push rod motor... so not only would I need the cam, I would need the lifters and more than likely new push rods.... crap...
I still have to make better fitting headers and run 2.5 inch exhaust out the back.... with only $300 left its just not posible.... I hate when projects slide to the left. just can't wait till after march...

lifters and push rods are typically reusable unless you did something catastrophic.

although it's easy enough to take the intake off the car to get at the valley to get them out. if it's not in the plan right now then so be it. getting the upper half of the motor off only takes a couple hours, max.

Used cam: $150~
LS6 valvesprings and retainers: $100~
Booze budget: $50~

See, I'm good at math.

Click the thrasher link in my signature. Wouldn't that sound be awesome coming from that car? :)
