He will be doing my GTP next. Still trying to decide on a color.

Since I have several exterior parts to replace, I have decided to go against red and opt for something else.
 


Why? That car looks great red!! Any Pontiac looks better red...lol.

I have wrecked every red car I have ever owned. I love red, I prefer it. It just seems to be bad luck for me. I definitely don't want anything girly. No purple and definitely no pink! If it were only the late 90's and I could throw some flakes in it. lol.
 


Nice C10 there I like the 2 tone, IMO it would be easier to keep the GTP red or some type of red. So you dont have to do the jambs and under the hood etc..
 
my brothers got one of them 80's GMC pick ups too. frame off resto, (used cab and bed from texas) crate engine, dana rears 60 and 40 up front. a 4 inch lift and 35's with a 2 inch body lift.

My brother is 24 and owns his own shop. So painting any color is going to be easy. I just have to buy the paint and replacement parts. He is doing the rest for free. There won't be a spot of original color anywhere on the car. I was also thinking a dark, dark metallic green. I love the color of the truck, I just feel it is too smurfy for my pregen.

Edit: I love the burnt orange on the truck Scotty. Love how it looks yellow when the light hits.

A dark almost forest green would probably look real good. If he's doing all that I would paint it red again either lol. Or what about a charcoal color.
 


You know, I never thought about charcoal. I love it on the G6. It might be too much of the same color. I have charcoal leather interior...unless I swap out the interior...

Yeah, since I just saw the orange truck...I am thinking a green so dark it looks black until the light hits it.
 
at night the polo green is kinda dark looking, theres not much flake in the paint but your brother could fix that lol

the orange is a pontiac color as well. my brother saw it on a car at a dealer lot. he went in and asked for its color code and they just gave it to him lol.
 


Finally found a deep green one. It was beautiful from all sides except the rear. Looked awful with the tail lights. Still searching for a midnight blue to reference. Best thing about the red is that it looks nice with the factory tail lights.
 
That is a very nice color. The ex had one of those when we were teenagers. Right about the same year. It was white. I was scared to death of it. Always felt like it would tip over.
