l67 injectors and tb on l36

I am about to swap to an n/a 3.8. Was wondering how bad an l36 would run with l67 injectors and tb. Will be top swapping as soon as funds recover. All i lack for a full topswap is heads and related gaskets and bolts and pcm. Gonna try to use as many l67 parts as possible to make storing sc parts easier and save a lil $ at the jy. Already have the na harness and pcm ready to go. Swapped in a 4t65 2 weeks ago . Thanks :)

Correct, you want to tune before running it long. I've started plenty of these motors on the wrong injectors/mafs/etc. But only for a moment to ensure the motor ran. The difference in flow will add a lot of extra fuel w/o a tune.

As far as being able to do it with the proper tables in the tune....I'm currently running an L26 with L67 TB and injectors.

I dont really have the option of swapping all at once, $ or place to do it. Guess ill just keep the injectors stashed. Am gonna run the tb though :)
Swap everything at once. You're not gaining anything by putting L67 injectors and tb on now anyway...

C'mon seriously it's 6 injectors and a TB... It's not going to take much space.. Hell leave it in your trunk.

You havent seen my trunk ;) lol. Anyway by using my own l67 tb i got the jy to throw in the ac compressor for free. Theyre throwing in the alt for using my own l67 balancer :)

Why would i have to progrom it for the tb? It bolts on and has has the same maf tps and iac. We installed one on my friends 98 gp gt without issues. I can understand needing a tune for the injectors though. Thanks
You'll need a tune to run the tb

Meaning your really not benefitting any for having it on there now and may be actually hurting performance. Just wait.

Hey Bill, could I ask why you run that throttle body on your L26? Is it so you can have an L26 with a cable actuated throttle body? Depending on the work required, I'd be interested in how you did it. I'm not a fan of the L26's drive by wire throttle, the small bit of lag is a little irritating in stop and go traffic.

I wouldn't even begin to start swapping an 04+ to cable driven. You'd need the whole cable setup, pedal, etc. Then you would have the tuning problems that you could encounter.

Allow me, Bill is clearly running a L26 Motor in his 97-03 Car, He does not have a Cable drive throttle body on a 04+ Grand prix

To run a L26 in place of a L36/L67 you need the TB adapter to convert it back to the Stock TB from the Series 2 motor.

Lag on a 04 Fly by wire TB/ 2004+ Grand Prix?, First Ive heard of that. Saying you want to Convert a 04+ Car to cable TB is Absoloutely Dumb/Makes no sense

Not to mention its Impossible to do, And again makes no sense to even talk about Etc. Work on Chroming your windshield with your free time Insted
