• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Hi, I'm new and I just bought an 04 Comp G

I don't remember who I dealt with, all I know is they couldn't give 2 ****s about their job. I went with a friend of mine, it took the guy 20 minutes to grab the keys for the car(we were the only people on the lot). It was 90 degrees and sunny also, standing and waiting to get this car unlocked. After looking at the car thoroughly I wanted to address some issues with the car, as well as ask if it had received any sort of inspection/what they knew about the car. He abruptly responded with "all of our cars have problems, I don't have time to look over every car."

We we quickly departed after that. This guy was a total jack wagon, everything about him screamed it.

I cant any say I've ever been down that road, I'll have to check it out :)

best of luck with the GP, again there's tons of info to be found on this site.

I'm going to hit that road a couple times tomorrow morning and also look for other roads to enjoy :)

it sounds like you talked to the salesman I had.

Couldn't blame you. It's wasn't cheap for me but it was priced right and had everything I wanted so I didn't mind getting passed the Bloody paint and peanut butter interior.

Not a bad little pick up if the price was right.

First off your transmission is not going to last you very long based after reading your posts.

Second... most important.

DON'T BE IDIOTIC ON PUBLIC ROADWAYS!

You want to go mash the gas... go to Heartland Park.

You want to go fast on some curvy roads... find some place that does AutoX.

Grand Prixs are not designed from factory to be taking at high rates of speed through curves.

Read around and use a little more common sense. You will both save yourself money, and possibly hurting yourself/family/or others.

Not to mention you have the dreaded comp G trans so it's not like you can get a JY trans and throw it in there. Expect big money to be spent fixing it.

Same here but over the years I've had 0 luck finding one. Just wanted it for a spare but at this rate it looks like ill just have to go through TEP.

First, I dont mash the gas. I drive maybe 5 over at all times.

I dont drive fast on the curvy stuff. I stick to the speed limit and cautious about people around me.

Just because I like to curvy roads does not provide ample evidence of driving like an idiot. In fact, when I got pulled over, that was the first time I had gotten pulled over for anything other than an expired tag since I was 17. I am 38 now.
So, I think my driving is not dumb, dangerous or idiotic.

I just happen to like being able to use the steering wheel for something other than turning left or right. Do I want more power? of course I do. Does that mean I will burn the tires from light to light? no.

the one time I did light the tires up, my kids asked me to on an empty stretch of road.
in fact, I didn't even turn TC off.

Apparently my thoughts and ideas are different from others here and a lot of people are under the assumption that I am something I'm not.
