Pontiac was not making money and had not been making money for years. How hard is that to understand. Keeping Pontiac around would have mean the death of even more of GM or even all of GM.
Scott I care. Pontiac was gm's tuning development center. Most of there cars were nothing more than chevys dressed up and there engines tuned for more power. Hell even there suspension were better. So answer me this scott who is now doing all the tuning in gm these days.
Come on guys the GTO's, Trans Am's / Firebirds of the 60's and 70's were some serious muscle. The G6's were super hot for a while and the Grand Prixs and Bonneville's of the late 90's up were some successful well selling very nice cars. Its a shame GM couldn't sell a few sporty mid sized Pontiacs in Chevy or GMC dealerships somehow...
