Is it bad if I enjoy walking around harbor freight on a Friday night?

Any goodies I should pick up to have handy for my car tasks? I thought about a torque wrench but dad has one, so not really needed except if I was really critical and wanted a inch lb one.

pink socket set? i walk almost every isle every time i go.

just have to not buy the real super cheap crap that you just know is to good of deal. most of the time it is pure crapola.

I've got some pink sockets and others that are regular. I got some nitrile gloves, metal brushes, brake cleaner and some thread locker so far.

Which one do you go to?

thank you guys for reminding me about that place..
i'm about 2 weeks into the job at firestone... and i'm getting tired of borrow tools all the time.
i think i'm just gonna say fukkit and go have a field day at harbor freight and say fukk the cornwell/snapon guys... for now anyways lol

I use craftsman and cheap tool at work too, or I just borrow/use the tool from my buddies box because he has his there. I don't keep my 40 whatever inch box at work because I don't need it. I'm not a mechanic per say, but still can do that kinda work when needed.

But I guess depending on what you do at your job will determine what tools you need.

i'm a tech at firestone, and i just pretty much do oil changes and tires all day, with the occasional odd job.
i do have some stuff but i a trip to harbor freight will solve my problems.

i worked at a firestone when i was a kid, same crappy job, tires and oil changes. the only good part was i got free used tires and at the time i had the firebird, i needed a lot of tires back then lol

There's a guy in my town whose last name is Firestone and is like a grandson or something of one of the original Firestone founders. He has $$$ lol

the thing that grinds my gears the most, is that i'm not even aloud to work on my own car there... like not even when i'm on lunch or punched out.
