Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What did you do to your Car today?

Till 2 weeks ago I could never feel when the car is running cz it was quiet and not shaking.

Now when I sit in the car (idle) I feel like random shaking.
Like something doesn't go smooth in there.

What might it be?

I had a new o2 sensor 2 months ago so I don't think it's the o2

you paided $2900 for them to rebuild and reinstall!!!!! MY GOD YOU GOT RIPPED OFF. had a 1982 riviera tranny rebuilt and it cost $1400. I just hope like hell they really did rebuild it and not just throw some less used parts in it.
I am pretty sure I got a deal. The tranny in a 82 Riviera is ALOT different from the tranny in an 06 GXP. Remember... this thing has automatic and paddles. More moving parts.

The paddles don't add any extra moving parts it's just a thing to play with on the steering wheel.

I dunno about u, but I've got an extra stop on the hump that says "M" and the paddles... those are at least three more things that move.... And I am PRETTY sure there are things moving around when I shift in to "M" from "D."
More moving parts or not I think I paid a fair price. I don't have the skill, will, or time to be turning wrenches myself. So I paid professionals to do it for me. All of the soft parts and some of the hard parts, CV axels, tranny cooler installed. All that done by somebody who works on these trannys a lot ( they are the contractors for the Sherriff's office. ) And other GXP owners telling me they paid about the same, I am feeling PRETTY good about the price I paid.

I also have that little M and the paddles on the steering wheel. GXP's are the only grand prix's that had them. It doesn't make the transmission cost anymore to get rebuilt. The gxp's take the same transmission as a regular grand prix so the rebuild cost should be about the same aside from a little more on labor for r&r

They arent the only grand prixs that had tapshift my compg has them as well.. The only moving part is switching to from drive to M so the trans internal mode selector knows your using tapshift. From there the paddles are just data.

Look we both have all the same parts to replace comp g or Gxp w might have some upgrade parts but there is nothing more labor intensive. People just wanna tell you so they can get more money out of you. But its all the same.

I've struggled with this same thing since I can remember and I've owned my 08 grand prix 3.8 N/A since 30k miles. I tried to do a lot of research and ended up replacing plugs, wires, cleaned throttle body, cleaned MAF, replaced PCV valve and nothing seemed to matter. Never had a CEL light come on - ever. There's just a shudder in there when I'm sitting idling. It's really annoying but I've started caring less...
