Input on sale price of 95 Formula Firebird

Since I am going to be selling off some things to get some down payment monies, I'd like to hear some ideas on what to ask for a 95 Formula I have laying around. I'll give a quick pros/cons of it so you can get a better idea. I've researched it some online and get varying amounts. Figured I'd ask and see what it may go for in the real world since some opinions were "shooting for the stars" as it may be, lol....

Pros:
T-tops- non leaking Have the factory leather storage bag for them in the trunk.
Good 4L60E auto with performance shift
PL/PW/tilt/cruise
Leather interior
Popup headlights work just fine
Doors close good- no sag
Exhaust is good
Original Purple Paint is 8 out of 10
No water leaks that I'm aware of
Original Keyfob
New A/C compressor

Cons:
Needs a replacement LT1- original blew DS HG. Upon further inspection it appears that lack of oil changes has also happened :th_shakinghead1: Major sludge in upper end. I would NOT feel confident in replacing just the HG's on both sides and running as-is. Cheaper to dump a used LT1 in it.

Drivers side seat leather is shot. Lumbars are split badly and seat cover is worn.

Steering wheel could use a recover.

Needs windshield (cracked and will not pass inspection)

Only paint issue is on the B pillar. The clear is shot on it. The rest of the paint is great and shines up nicely. Was stored in my garage up until 2 years ago and was regularly waxed before the motor went.

Needs new rotors and tires from sitting (rust/dryrot)

That's about all I can think of. If you could score a used LT1 from a Roadmaster, Caprice, or Camaro/Firebird then it would be a good car again. After my friend decided that he couldn't afford it he just gave it to me. I put some money into fixing a few small issues it had and that was about it. I have the title w/ no lean and all keys. I had plans to put a motor in it and sell but have decided to just sell it as-is and cut the loss. I have limited time to mess with something like this, and too many other projects that I just can't do it. And no, I don't want to hassle with parting it out. Car actually ran fine at the time the HG let go. No knocks or anything else, just a nice white plume of coolant from the exhaust.

My opinion, due the fact that it needs an engine, windshield, tires, rotors, and some interior you will be hard pressed to get $1500 out of it, if that.

Yep. Due to he LS motors, that generation of Fbody is less desirable. Factor in it needing a motor and other misc things and it's a $1,000 car or so.

Depends what they're worth running in your area.

It's not uncommon for them to go for 1300-1800 running every now and then. Do research in your area and price accordingly.

This, right now in my area you might could get 12/1400 for it. Come winter you'd be lucky to see 800. Projects aren't easy to sell.

Thanks for the input. I've checked around on craigslist in my area and it seems most the firebirds are the 3.4L V6's. The only running formula's are going for at least 3K or so.

I was thinking of listing it for 1000 and see what I can get from there. Factor in the cost of a new windshield, used LT1 (or LS swap for someone), brakes, tires and a newer seat and that would add up to about what they are going for running.

I wish the clear hadn't gone to hell on the B-pillar because otherwise the paint is good. I plan on cleaning it and waxing it up the best I can before I list it so it can look as good as possible.

I have some gray headliner material leftover from a previous job that I may throw in it. Would make the inside look much better. Since it's getting late in the season I may just push it back into the garage and replace the drivers seat and headliner and list it next year. Would give me time to wax it up and make it shine again.
