cobalt ss kill wtf?



chevy saw all these ricers running around decided to put out the cobalt. may be a quick little car but it just screams ricer to me

It's built by Vauxhall.... I have one sitting in my garage. 2.0L S/C.... it's the wifes car. Got stage 3 gmpp kit on it, header, downpipe and catback. Runs 13.2 consistant, my GTP cost me quite a few grand to pull under that... that bloody cobalt cost me 1200 bucks! Pulls hard... no gov'nr and topped out at just over 240 last year on a top end closed circuit pull. NOT my favourite car mind you and I can dance on it with my current car but pretty good for a wife mobile... maybe some on this site should whoop'd eee whoop on those facts because they are nippy if done right!

Just my point of view....
 


Good 'a there you bloody somebish...yeah I agree. BTW guys...you're still knocking a supercharged GM product that has A LOT of potential with just a few babbles and bolt-on products.

These cars can be made pretty fast very cheap....so dont be surprised when you end up getting beat by some! Especially the new turbo ones! I am not a fan of the cars though - too small - but i would rock one any day as a DD.
 
Next to QMS ( my buddies shop) was the Official Cobalt drag team.. broke the FWD world record at 7.3 something bad ass car! so there must be something worth wild in them..if u got about 15-20k lol

I would be willing to bet a Cobalt that runs 7.3's would be a TAD more then 15-20K...
 
im not sure but I do know that I got my ass handed to me at the track before by a S/C SS Cobalt....so IMO they pretty fast....stock vs stock
 


There is a Cobalt SS around here that is owned by a guy that Brian and I know. He recently put down 342hp at the wheels. It's a mean mf'er for sure. His is the dark maroon color with the anthracite wheels. Pretty good looking car in my opinion in that color combination. Not a fan of the flashy bright yellow ones.

Not all the SS cobalts are supercharged. This was probably the case. There's one around here that looks a lot like a supercharged one but seen and herd him get on it and there was no blower whine at all.
