Its not the Special Edition its the 2003 Limited Edition only available in 03 and they say there where less than 2000 made. I have one and love it.
 
Youre right the special edition (left) and the limited edition (right) are the same.

i could see why it was limited. it looks like it was just stuck on there. and that was that.


the special eddition has to be the cleanest spoiler to go w/ in my opinion.
 
The Limited Edition spoiler is one of my favorite! Also, the most expensive and hardest to get. I've owned three of them (have one left on my 99 build). It ties in the best out of any of them. It is a variation that stays true to the stocker, but completely changes it up. Yep, if you find one cheap snag it. I still need one more again for my new DD. I've owned most of the spoilers out there and that one still ranks at the top. Always loved it on "The Beast" as well.

Your best bet is to check car-parts.com or other salvage yards/searches. They only came in 2003 and only in Blue, White, and Galaxy Silver so that should narrow your search. I just don't have the money to pick another one up at the moment. New they can range anywhere up to the $500-800+ range. Used you might get lucky. Any I've seen in the classifieds were at least $250.

I know Tommy Gloves on CGP I believe is trying to get rid of his LE spoiler for an SD spoiler or trade for one.

Check craigslist too. Thats where I got mine and I only paid $80 for it. So good luck in your search.
