Xbone is still being force bundled with the kineckt thus making it more expensive. Kineckt still has to be plugged in which means its never truly off.
 
I love how that's the worst thing about the xbox now. It comes with kinect.... oh, boy lol. I will still get both but xbox first. Anyone buy Last of Us yet?

The worst thing is how I cant run my xbone without it. I cant truly turn it off either. Invasion of privacy is not a selling point.

They have a crapload of privacy settings for it. If you really don't like it, put it back behind your TV facing the wall, put some tape over the camera/microphone.

It may seem like an inconvenience now, but with this move of having everyone of them have it, there may be a lot more developers putting it to good use or much more useful stuff coming out for it in the future.

But why pay a hefty price for something I won't use?

Just because it is always on does not mean the govt is spying on you lol. Microsoft wants it required because they believe game developers will start to incorporate more features in the games with the kinect without worrying about whether or not your going to buy it. It really gives more freedom to game developers in my opinion.

That WOULD make sense if they simply force bundled it. But they are forcing you to have it hooked up all the time..
