• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Need some quick answers please!

Alright so I know this is a GP forum but I trust you guys on here more than any other forum. My dad has a 1999 Cadillac Eldorado that we've been having issues with for a long time. It seems to have a missfire but no codes and it stutters at WOT and is real low on power. I know these N*'s are legendary for blowing head gaskets. The car has 172,000 miles and my grandma owned it before my dad. The head gaskets have gone before and been replaced a while ago but i'm wondering if it hasn't happened again.. So basically to try to stop the missfire at idle and crappy acceleration I changed the fuel filter a few weeks ago. Seemed to help the miss and the stutter for a few days but it was still low on power and then got worse again. So today I went to go change the plugs and wires and noticed a puddle of antifreeze underneath it. I looked and the whole passenger side of the radiator is covered and its just dripping wet all over. So then I checked the oil out of curiosity and there was none.. literally none. I had just checked it a few days ago and I know these engines burn a bit but I find this hard to believe. Any input would be greatly appreciated. And sorry if this isn't the right section for this.

Alright I did a compression test and everything seemed to be consitently low. All cylinders were around 70-80psi which I believe is a sign of a blown head gasket. So basically our fears have come true and the motor is pretty much shot.. It's a shame. It's such a nice looking car in my opinion.
