Swapping an l67 into my 98 gt, just the motor.. Just about got everything buttoned up., but I cannot get the flywheel and torwue comverter bolts to line up.i can turn the TC by hand, but the flywheel is sitting lower then the tc. Any ideas?
p.s. Its actually a flexplate...but u get the point lol

You have two choices. Pull engine and swap plates or open up the holes a bit and bolt them up. I'm not outright suggesting the second as it's not the "right" way. I have done it 2 times for friends when no other option was available and both cars are still good 2-4 years later.

SC is a 258mm pattern
NA is a 245mm pattern

have you heard of anything going wrong when doing it this way

Not in the 4 years it's been done, no.

One car has a plog, 1.9's (no u bend because it'a a Bonneville), 3.4" pulley etc. And believe me...the girl blew her last motor racing, she's not gentle on it.

Sounds good.. you like the added humor?

Typically you can dent these pans up decently w/o hurting the pick up. Tough to say w/o knowing what it looks like.

On the flex, I see it this way and some may disagree. You can egg the holes and give it a go or pull the motor, put the other flex on and in the end..who knows, maybe either of them crack in time. I was very lucky and never cracked one. Mine had been drilled for 245MM by Intense and never gave me any trouble.

lol yes i did bill. I was just at work and should not have been on here lol. But here is the pic of the oil pan. And a pic of the motor ( just because lol) and a pic of the homemade supercharger pulley presser on'er lol, worked like a champ!! lol. The oil pan is dented slightly on the other side, But thats the worst in the pic
