OverKill PCMs

Hey guys, I know most of us has a pcm tune from one of the 3800 venders and/or a dyno tune, but does anybody know how long it takes for OverKill to send back your PCM? I have a ZZP pcm tune but i sent OverKill my extra pcm hoping for a better tune. Problem is that I sent my PCM to OverKill over 2wks ago.

They havent even asked me how I wanted to pay for it yet, which tells me my pcm still is'nt ready. I hate to rush them but im just a lil concerned.

Thanx guys...

Great guy and he does great tuning from what I've heard it just takes some time cuz he's an busy guy. Don't worry just yet.

Took me close to 3 weeks to get mine back. He stays busy. Emails may never to replied to (like 2 of mine) but he is a good guy, and wont steal your PCM/money.

Just give it time, and you'll have a box with a tuned PCM sometime.

Do you have to send in your stock PCM? Or can you get a new one, or rather when getting a PCM tune from Overkill will our ride have to be outta commission for the duration?

You can just buy one with a pcm from him but will have to pay core charge. For olders its 75-100 on top of the 120 or w.e it is to begin with..for 04+ theyre 100-125 core charge. Check his website out. Getoverkilled.ca I think it is or something along them lines. Just put it in google. When I get one im keeping my regular pcm just because. N if anything happened id have my normal one always. Demodding or w.e it be

Thanks for the website link! Ive been planning on doing this but still havent got my headers on and subsequently cant do my pulley so its taking forever!

I have heard that's the one down side to OverKill, customer service is not great.

Lol I mean I haven't ordered ever. I emailed will n we talked back n forth a couple times. He seemed like a good dude n always got back with me. I do always hear it takes up to a month to get your pcm tho.

Damn, a month...good thing im going on 3wks already. LOL, so for you guys that have it already how does it feel? Have you noticed any improvements performance wise over your previous PCM tune? (This question is preferably for the guys who has had other PCM tunes by someone else like ZZP or some local performance shop).

Saw 3-4* of kr with my ZZP canned tuna and had problems with my tranny not wanting to shift out of 1st when going WOT. OverKill tune saw my kr drop to 1-1.5* max (usually no kr under most conditions) and shifts are firm and precise. I like the fact that Will doesn't do an off the shelf tune-- you tell him what you have and what you want and he tunes for it. Money well spent.

Its still a off the shelf tune unless your scanning your car and sending him data to customize your tune then its still a "shelf tune".

ZZP's 1.0 PCM is a generic tune which is not customized to each specific buyer, with Will he asked me for my mods and the type of driving I do. I told him I wanted a fairly aggressive tune but not at the expense of blowing my motor. He adjusted my shift points and timing (among other things) to suit my needs. To me that's a bit more than an off the shelf tune.

will dosent know where you had KR in relation to rpm vs map pressure he dosent know where your trims are nor does he know alot of other very important specifics about your car. He gets generalized setups through his experience with other cars and applies them as a generalized tune for your car, however without actual data back from your car as the result he or you will never know what exactly could be tweaked more. ZZP offers a generalized base tune will gets into a little more depth but both are still off the shelf tunes...im not knocking your experience with will at all but with out feedback from the results of the tune to make more specific changes its a canned tune.

Just recieved my PCM in the mail from Will at OverKill. Its been a long month maybe even a lil more, but I hope it'll be well worth it...
